Start with the room
Good custom work begins with context. We want to know the dimensions, furniture layout, circulation, intended material, colour direction and the role the rug should play in the space.
A hallway runner and a large living-room rug are different design problems. So are a round dining rug, a shaped entry piece, a staircase and a hospitality scheme. The custom process should respect those differences.
What can change
Custom possibilities depend on construction. Selected rugs may support changes to size, proportion, shape, colour direction, border or other details. Some techniques are naturally flexible; others become unstable or visually awkward when pushed beyond their original proportions.
We prefer to say no to an unsuitable alteration rather than produce a compromised rug simply because it was technically orderable.

From reference to development
For a straightforward size variation, the process can be simple. More individual projects may require a discussion of construction, scale and colour before we confirm what is feasible. Professional or multi-rug work may also involve sampling or approval stages appropriate to the order.
We respect intellectual-property rights and will not treat another designer’s protected work as a free production file. References are most useful when they communicate direction rather than ask for an unauthorised copy.
Bespoke without unnecessary theatre
Luxury service should feel thoughtful, not complicated. The purpose of customisation is to solve the room more precisely. Sometimes the best answer is a bespoke rug; sometimes it is simply the right existing size or construction.
Bespoke helps with a design problem, not create complexity for its own sake.
