Our process is designed to protect two things at the same time: the visual idea that made the rug desirable and the practical discipline required to deliver it well.
1. Begin with the brief
For a collection rug, the brief may begin with a material, room or design idea. For custom and professional work, it may begin with a floor plan, dimensions, mood board, quantity or hospitality requirement.
The first task is to understand what the rug needs to do. A beautiful reference image is useful, but the room, use and scale usually tell us more.
2. Choose material and construction
Fibre and technique shape the rug’s character and its limitations. Jute, cotton, wool and blended constructions each behave differently. Flatwoven, braided, tufted and other techniques change surface, edge, weight and custom potential.
We use this stage to identify whether the desired look and the intended use are compatible.
3. Develop proportion, palette and detail
For existing collections, this is already resolved in the product. For custom work, colour, border, shape, motif scale and dimensions may need to be considered together.
Professional projects can involve more structured approvals or samples depending on quantity, construction and the level of development required.
4. Make the rug
Skilled makers execute the chosen construction. Handmade production carries human variation, but it also relies on judgement and consistency developed through experience.
Our role is to keep the design direction connected with what the making process can achieve responsibly.
5. Finish and inspect
The rug moves through finishing and review before it is prepared for the customer. Depending on construction, this can include edge work, surface preparation, measuring, cleaning and other final checks.
The objective is not to erase the handmade character; it is to make sure the piece is ready to represent the design and the brand.
6. Pack for the journey
International selling has made packing part of our product discipline. A rug has to travel through handling, carrier networks and different climates before it reaches the room.
Packing method, documentation and order identification are therefore treated as part of fulfilment rather than an afterthought.
7. Stay accountable after dispatch
Tracking, delivery questions, care, returns and post-purchase communication remain part of the relationship. Current terms are always governed by LoomifyHome’s live policies, but the service principle is consistent: clear communication and a documented path to resolution.
The process is where design intent becomes a product the customer can trust.
