Our Story

Our story is not a single origin paragraph. It is the accumulation of years spent looking at rugs from every side—design, fibre, loom, maker, finishing table, export carton, room and customer.

The beginning was practical

Avinash and Geeta Gupta began their journey in rugs and home furnishings in 2010. The early years were not about building a polished design vocabulary; they were about learning the trade properly. What does a customer mean when they say a runner feels too narrow? How much can a cotton construction move after washing? What does jute look like in real daylight rather than a studio image? Which packing decisions protect a rug during a long international journey?

Questions like these formed the operating memory behind the business. Over time, that practical knowledge became one of the strongest foundations for LoomifyHome.

The world became the market

International customers quickly became central to the business. Selling across the USA, UK, Europe, Australia and other markets created a different standard of discipline. Measurements had to be understood across feet, inches and metric systems. Handmade variation had to be described rather than assumed. Delivery, customs and returns had to be communicated clearly. Customer service had to work across time zones and cultures.

The result is a company whose global outlook was learned through daily commerce rather than added later as branding.

The next step was design

Experience can make a company efficient, but design gives it a point of view. LoomifyHome represents the shift from simply selling rugs to building a coherent rug house: collections that speak to one another, materials that are explained, rooms that are considered, and an aesthetic world that customers can recognise.

We are especially interested in the space between Indian craft and contemporary interiors—natural jute, washable cotton, block-inspired pattern, softened geometry, scalloped edges, quiet neutrals, expressive colour and custom proportions.

The story has several chapters

Legacy explores the accumulated knowledge behind the company. The Craft looks at fibre, construction and handwork. The Founder introduces the people behind the business. Community focuses on the artisan households connected with production. Sustainability explains our deliberately careful approach to material and environmental claims. Craftsmanship looks at quality through the small decisions that separate a merely handmade object from a well-made rug.

Together, these pages are meant to be read as a connected story rather than isolated marketing statements.

Where the story is going

We are building a brand that can hold both private and professional conversations. A customer may discover LoomifyHome through a hallway runner. An architect may discover us through a material question. A boutique may begin with a small assortment. A hospitality brief may start with dimensions and a mood board.

The point is not to become everything to everyone. The point is to become unusually good at rugs—and to let that depth support different kinds of customers.

Heritage is useful when it becomes design intelligence for what we make next.
